Sales and Streams!

This post has images! If they do not show up for you, please click through! Hi ho everyone! Just two things today because I have a LOT of tasks to do before my spicy meatball of a toddler comes home! ONE I have expanded my journey back into traditional media. I picked up some ink and nibs at a local art store the other day (Artists Emporium--shoutout because I love that store dearly) and let me tell you I am ENAMOURED. I have found my favourite medium! Every other medium I try frustrates me too much, but ink is fast, it's easy setup and cleanup, and it's almost identical to my digital cartooning process so the transfer was seamless. I've been doing it a couple times a week on stream, and I'm going to try to make it a regular Tuesday afternoon/Thursday night thing, if you care to pop in from time to time. You will be able to play them back on my Twitch channel for a week after broadcast, and then I'll have all the archives up on my Patreon after that even though I am LOATHE to have a record of my stupid distracted ramblings. The sacrifices I make for you people (the mortifying ordeal of being known)!!! All of the pieces I do lives will be available on my website for purchase a few days after the stream, but if you really love one and you want to nab it before it goes online, just shoot…

SOME JOURNAL COMIX

This post has images! If they do not show up for you, please click through! Morning Coffee Routine Kora loves to help me with coffee in the morning. She used to try to steal sips of my coffee every morning as well, but then she actually got a taste and that kinda ended that for the most part. She'll still try to thief some foam from time to time though. The morning I drew this one, she refused to touch her breakfast until I bribed her by telling her we could make a coffee together while she ate her oatmeal. Her favourite steps are tamping the espresso, and asking if it's hot and if it's coffee 600 times in a row. Anyway it's really cute and I just kinda wanted to capture it. That's my beefy babe! Ko-fi Curveball after curveball. Jimmy! Important context for this one My dad decided he wanted to be called "Jimmy" instead of "Grandpa" when he found out I was having a baby. Just a little update on how it's shaping up 2 years or so after her birth. To reiterate, my dad's name is Mike. love to share my art and comics, and I'm extremely blessed to be able to do it full-time as a career, in part due to readers like you! If you would like to support my work, please consider sharing with a friend, nabbing a print, buying me a coffee, or subscribing to my Patreon for as little as $1…

Previous 2024 recipes:JanuaryFebruaryMarchApril (with a bonus recipe!) Let's take a look at May! FRAPPUCCINO INGREDIENTS 1 tbsp instant coffee(or more if you want)1 tbsp sugar(or more (or less) if you want)1/2 cup milk of your choice1 cup iceA LEETLE PEENCH of xanthan gum DIRECTIONS Chuck it all in a blender. Serve. Xanthan gum is found in the baking aisle and is most often used by home cooks as a thickener in vegan and gluten-free recipes, but it’s also a great stabilizer and you can use it in sauces and make bougie foams and stuff like that. It’s also naturally produced by fermenting glucose, if that’s something that is important to you. It is kind of the key to the whole thing because in this recipe, it’s what keeps everything suspended in the ice. Without it, all your liquids will sink to the bottom and you’ll just have weird ice at the top. Also, don’t spill a large amount of it when opening the bag for the first time,…

ART ROUNDUP: APRIL 2024

This post has images! If they do not show up for you, please click through! Happy Temperatures in the Positives, everyone! There's uhhhhh... a lotta blue and brown this month, now that I look at it all together like this. I guess it's a bit of a theme. This is the first year I've tried to do some #PleinAirpril, a monthly challenge where artists do some painting from life every day, which I definitely did not do, but I did some days! I actually really wanted to do it in acrylics at first, but that dream quickly died because first it was too cold to paint outside with my paints, and then it got too busy to take my paints outside, and then I was too busy to take my iPad outside at all and ended up just drawing from photos lol. But I had fun regardless! Even if the subject matter was... less than inspiring for most of this lousy slushy drab garbage spring month. But that's kind of the fun part of the challenge, right? I feel like the folks that live in the mountains or by the ocean or somewhere that looks gorgeous all the time kind of miss out on the exercise of trying to make the mundane beautiful, or at least eye-catching. I also just love breaking down what I see and trying to make sense of it on the page, while still maintaining a sense of personal style and flair. I hope to be…
