tfw you’re a manitoban in another country and you haven’t told anybody how cold your winters are for 20 minutes my first month in australia I made my way out to newcastle to visit my friend luke, whom i’d met a couple years earlier on a contiki tour. he and his friends were my de facto family when i was out there, taking me in for every holiday and letting me mooch more than i should have at their bbqs and get togethers. first time i met them i remember jess playing some nights by fun. while luke and tim dug a hole in the backyard using a pickaxe because they wanted to have a bonfire, but it was winter so everything was wet and in the end we just ended up standing around a hole in the lawn next to the torn up sod while thick grey smoke billowed up out of it. there were way more people there than i drew but i AM pretty sure shaun was in a penguin suit and he was making me drink bundaberg. honestly, one of my fondest memories. PS: the roll is supposed to be torn-up sod lmao i acknowledge it is not the clearest drawing

A bonus lazy Sunday comic for you all Been watching The Crown with Kora this week and every time I watch this show I’m shocked at how many things I know are going to happen before they happen considering I was anywhere from a small child to not born yet during the events, and have never really looked anything up beyond the like.. really big events that are just known by everybody, like the car crash. It’s so wild how much of it filters its way in through pop culture??? It’s inescapable. I mean.. I’m pretty sure I only know about the Revenge Dress because a cosplayer costume maker I follow made a decent replica out of a thrift store find.
