MB-10 (Minnedosa)

Description

In high school, I was lucky enough to be part of a youth choir that combined students in grades 10-12 from all around the Western Manitoba region. We rehearsed over the course of two weekends in the fall at a summer camp in Riding Mountain National Park, and then spent another weekend touring all of Westman. It is easily one of my most cherished memories. This is my favourite portion of the highway we had to take to get out to the camp.

There are very few times and places I’d actually want to go back to, especially as a teenager, but those camp weekends—singing all day (and we sounded GOOD), eating cinnamon buns in the dining hall in the evening, and sneaking out of our cabins to wander around the woods and beach at night—it’s one of those places that makes my heart ache a little in that homesick kind of way.
