Hey hi hello everyone! Just a couple quick little comics, plus one from the archives that I don’t think I’ve shared here yet. I have a couple extras that are a little more personal up for Patrons as well!
I recently (finally) got a proper ADHD diagnosis!! Yeehaw! I’ve known for like 15 years and it’s been a journey but I’m finally medicated and vindicated and it’s a whole new journey now but things feel good so far.
Because I didn’t want to pay thousands of dollars to go through a specialist, I had to ask my GP for a referral to a public health psychiatrist. It was a year-long wait, which sucked, but then here is how things went:
I went to the appointment
“Do you have your health card?”
“Nope! I forgot!”
Talked to the guy for 20 minutes, cried a bit
I filled out an assessment sheet
He gave the assessment sheet the briefest of glances
Laughed
“I strongly recommend you try medication”
So that’s where we’re at! Now it’s just figuring out what works for me. It’s SUCH a relief to have confirmation from an outside source that there is something wrong with me, hahahaha. Sure makes me sleepy though.
