Hey buds!! Only one thing on the agenda today, so I’m not going to waste your time with a preamble, because I respect the minutes in your day and not at all because I just did a kettlebell workout and my butt hurts.
Market SZN + Where to Find Me
Right! So! With last month’s Prairie Comics Festival under my belt, market season is officially underway!
Next up: Winnipeg Punk Rock Flea Market is in November, back at the Vic Inn on Wellington!
Full disclosure: I waaaay overextended myself last year… which, frankly, had disastrous results for the entirety of 2026 hahahaha. We’re not doing that again, so this year I’ve scaled back my market commitments significantly. That means I will only be doing at most two (maybe three) holiday markets, and at the time of writing, I have not yet heard if I’ve been accepted into any others. There is a chance that WPRFM may be the only place you’ll be guaranteed to catch me in person before next Spring!
Which is fine honestly, because it’s one of my favourite events, and I’m always so jazzed to be there. It’s such a fun event with so many cool vendors, and I’ve always felt really taken care of by the WPRFM crew. It’s always a really great time and I’m excited to do it again in a month!!
Sunday, November 15th
Victoria Inn - 1808 Wellington Ave.
11:30AM-6PM (last hour of the day is low sensory if you struggle with lights and noise and crowds)

New Stuff!!
I’ve got a couple new things at my table!
I am delighted to share this Newfoundland-inspired Puffin illustration I did for 3 Oceans Puzzle Co. (formerly Pacific Puzzle Co., who I have had the pleasure of working with before) to celebrate their new home on the East Coast. I will have prints at my table, and they are available online as well!

I will also have Up The Duff, my short collection of pregnancy comics! It made its debut at Prairie Comics Fest in September thanks to my friends at Inservice Comics, and it sold really well! I don’t have it online at this point in time (still have to figure out shipping costs and haven’t had the chance) and I might not get that handled until next year, so if you want a copy, you should probably swing by my table to nab one!
It’s very funny, I’ve had a number of people pick it up and go “my sister just gave birth, I’m definitely getting this for her,” which makes me laugh every time because that is SUCH a sister gift hahaha! Anyway, it’s a compilation of all the comics I drew while I was pregnant, redrawn and lovingly crammed into 30+ pages of crisp white paper. Delicious.

You can also get it as a PDF, but I’ll be honest it is definitely more fun to have lying around your house now that the option is there. Plus there are a couple extra pages in the printed copy that aren’t in the digital version.
How to get the PDF:
– If you’re Canadian, it’s up in my shop!
– If you are elsewhere, you can get it on Patreon either as a one-off post you can purchase, OR
– If you’re a Patreon member at the $5 tier or higher, you automatically get access to it (along with a discount code for my shops!)
*Contains cartoonish and unflattering upper-body nudity.

Something worth checking out!
Shoutout to my super good friends Brandt&Stein, whose graphic novel Worst Man is officially out TODAY in North America!
I’ve had the distinct pleasure of reading it in advance and boy howdy, even if you don’t like an elaborate heist full of hijinks and silly jokes and people trying their best when their best is not that great, actually, and everything going wrong and lots of funny blushing plus genuine tender moments, you will at LEAST enjoy the absurdly detailed art and incredible character acting on every page.
Also, fun fact: the entire book is inked traditionally with nib and ink on paper. I implore you to take a flip through it, if just to understand how insane that is.
I’m going to start trying to do more of these occasional shoutouts–I am so blessed to have a lot of friends who do really, really cool things, and I’m not sure why I don’t sing their praises here more often. Going to make a point of that going forward, whenever I can.
I think that’s everything for now. Oh! I had an order this week and wanted to put out a reminder: Yes, I DO sell my postcards wholesale!!
If you’re out and about in Winnipeg, you can find a selection of my work at Bear Face General Store, Made Here, and Forks Trading Co.
You can find me at Threadless if you want apparel.
Finally, if you’re not Canadian and would like a print, please visit my INPRNT store.
Okay NOW that’s everything. Thanks all, I hope to see some of you in November!!
Cheers,
Alex
